Pick a layout you like. Your data is rendered into it.
What a template is
A template is a finished dashboard whose layout, chart choices and styling are reused for your data. You get the same look with your own columns and values. Templates cost nothing extra and are available with the $0.99 single report as well as subscriptions.
Template library
Templates appear under the prompt box on your projects page and on the homepage. Each card has Open, which shows the live demo in a new tab, and Use as template.

Use the Excel / Live Data toggle to switch between the two sets. Once you have connected a data source the list switches to the matching set automatically.
Using a template
- Click Use as template. A banner confirms the template is selected and asks for your data.
- Upload a file or connect a live sheet.
- Optionally add a description, then click Create.
A template made for uploaded files cannot be used with a live sheet, and the other way round. If the types do not match you are asked to pick a different template.
Your own dashboards as templates
Any dashboard you own can be a template for the next one. Hover over its card in your projects list and click Use as template. This is the quickest way to produce the same dashboard for a new month's file or for a second team.
