Editing a dashboard

Describe the change you want. The dashboard is updated for you.

The project page

Every dashboard has a project page at vibefactory.ai/app/<id>. The main tabs are:

  • Preview: the dashboard as your viewers see it
  • Summary: name, link, public or private setting and password
  • Sharing: give teammates access, see Sharing and privacy
  • Export: ZIP, email and source download, see Export and embed
  • Domain: connect a custom domain (paid plans)

Asking for a change

The panel on the left of the project page has a text box asking what the assistant should do. Type the change in plain language and send it. Examples that work well:

  • "Turn the revenue chart into a stacked bar by product line."
  • "Add a KPI card for average order value."
  • "Put the table above the charts and make it show 25 rows."
  • "Use our brand colours: dark blue #1F3A5F and orange #F28C28."
  • "Add a date range filter that applies to every chart."
  • "Rename 'cust_id' to 'Customer' everywhere."

You can attach a screenshot, a PDF or another data file to the message to show what you mean. Press Esc to cancel a change that is in progress. When the update is done the preview reloads and the published dashboard is updated at the same link.

Replacing the data

To rebuild the same dashboard with a new file (next month's export, for example), use the existing dashboard as a template: on your projects page hover over its card, click Use as template, upload the new file and click Create. For dashboards connected to a live sheet, nothing needs to be done: the dashboard reads the sheet on every load.

What editing costs

  • Editing is included with Starter, Pro and Enterprise subscriptions and uses credits based on the amount of AI work, see Plans and credits.
  • The $0.99 single report does not include editing. If you need changes, subscribe or generate a new report with a different description.
  • If a dashboard fails to build, asking for a fix is free.
