VibeFactory MCP server
Build and change your dashboards by talking to Claude, Cursor or any tool that supports the Model Context Protocol.
Connect
- Claude (web, desktop or mobile): open Settings, then Connectors, choose Add custom connector, and paste the server address above. Claude opens a VibeFactory page asking you to sign in and approve the connection.
- Cursor: in Settings, MCP, add a new server of type Streamable HTTP with the address above. Cursor opens the same approval page.
- Other MCP clients: any client that supports Streamable HTTP with OAuth works the same way. Claude Code is not supported yet.
The approval page shows which application is asking and where it will send your access. VibeFactory only lets you approve known AI clients, so an unfamiliar application cannot obtain access even if it calls itself Claude.
Getting your data in
Every dashboard starts from a data file (CSV, Excel or JSON, up to 20 MB). Files never travel through the chat. There are two ways to provide one:
- From Cursor or another tool that can run commands: ask it to upload the file. It receives a one-time upload command, runs it on your computer, and the file is ready to use.
- From Claude: Claude cannot run commands on your computer. Upload the file in the VibeFactory dashboard first, without generating, then ask Claude to build a dashboard from it. It will find the file with
list_data_sources.
Each uploaded file can be used for one dashboard. Unused files are removed after a day.
What it can do
The same rules apply as in the web app: building a dashboard and asking the agent for changes spend credits, everything else is free. The AI tool sees the credit cost in each tool description and should tell you before spending.

What it cannot do
- Read or edit the source code of your dashboards. To get your code, connect a project to GitHub in the web app.
- Delete dashboards, change domains or manage sharing. Those stay in the web app.
- Change dashboards that were shared with you. Only the owner can send instructions to the agent.
- See the password of a private dashboard. Passwords are only shown on the project page.
Disconnecting
Open Settings, AI clients and use Disconnect next to the application. Its access ends immediately. Removing the connector inside Claude or Cursor also stops it from calling VibeFactory.
